Beware of Getting Caught in the Enemy’s “Swirl”

Kathi Pelton

There is most obviously a strong and twisting demonic tornado that has been unleashed upon God’s people to pull them into a swirl that will displace them from their posture of peace and joy. God is sending forth a “warning alert” against engaging in these distractions that have been sent against relationships and your posture of being seated with Christ.

These swirling assignments will come to accuse, offend, question your love and motivations, challenge truth, and point a finger. This spirit will use the weakness or brokenness in one person to try to create a weakening of another person by wearing them down through accusations and offenses. Do not get caught in the swirl!

This is a spirit that uses broken areas in people as its landing ground to release this unholy tornado. It will chase you down, try to pick you up, spin you around…and then spit you out. As we are seated in heavenly places we are not subject to this earthly spirit. It thrives on chaos and offense; therefore peace, joy, and love are like “kryptonite” against this spirit.

It is important to discern when this assignment is coming against you because you will need the wisdom of heaven to know how to walk, speak, and respond if it touches your life. Often engaging with it (or whomever it is working through) will merely cause the “swirl” to come upon you and it will twist in order to turn the tables on you. This swirl you find yourself in will suddenly produce accusations against you. Your love and truth will be turned into accusations of judgements and hate, leaving you to wonder how this transpired.

Begin even now to be sure to posture your life in the heavenly places with Jesus and be sure to discern clearly before you engage in any “swirling activity.” If you need additional wisdom, seek counsel from mature believers around you so that you have greater clarity. Proceed with wisdom and caution; not fear but wisdom!

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Proverbs‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭

Let us walk in the fear of the Lord so that we have the wisdom and knowledge for the days ahead.
