There are shiftings happening all across the earth. Governments are changing, alignments are changing, alliances are changing, and hearts are changing. These shiftings are both redeeming and exposing. Where there is exposure, there is a “shaking” that accompanies it.
We have seen a great number of men in Hollywood exposed; men who—because of their powerful positions and notoriety—have felt free to use women inappropriately. We are seeing politicians exposed for inappropriate behaviors and practices. Things are being shaken so that secrets are being exposed and the abuse of power is being removed.
Just as we see these thing happening in the secular world, God is securing the people of His Kingdom. There has been, and continues to be, a great securing of those who are citizens of His unshakable kingdom. The Spirit of God has been active in shoring up every place that needs to be securely grounded upon the foundation of Christ. Where there have been compromises, double-mindedness, doubt, faithlessness, lies, unbelief, and sin…suddenly these areas are being dealt with and truth is coming forth.
There are great shakings happening and many more to come, but the good news is that His Kingdom is an unshakable Kingdom! What is shakeable will be shaken but what is unshakable will stand firm and secure.
God is being so intentional in securing the lives of His people so that they are unshakable! Now is the time to yield and surrender to the work of the Spirit happening in your life. Do not resist Him, because resistance will open you up to the shakings. Repentance comes as a gift that brings change, relief, and joy, but shakings cause great pain. Now is a time to humble yourself before the Author and Finisher of your faith so that your life is securely grounded upon the unshakable Rock of Jesus.
This is a prayer that is being prayed by many in this season,
“Search me, God, and know my heart;test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm 139:23-24
Pray this with me,
“Holy Spirit, I am asking you to make me aware of every place that isn’t fully yours! I want to know every place that is not fully surrendered, every place that does not honor you or bring you pleasure and every part in my life that remains ‘shakeable.’ I not only want to be aware of these areas, but to also yield in order to allow you to change these areas so that they fully belong to Jesus. Give me a humble and willing heart that allows your work to be done in my life. Shore up every shakeable place in my life so that your glory may be revealed through me.”
When the world is shaken they will look for places of refuge and for people who have not been shaken by what happens around them. This will be His church, and they will prove to be a lighthouse and a refuge in times of trouble. Those that have experienced the trauma of shakings will seek you out; even though you’ve been in the furnace with them you will not smell of smoke because God is with you and His Kingdom has been established in your heart!
The shakings of earthly powers, governments, and kingdoms began a couple of years ago and they have continued to increase, but the church has been clothed anew in robes of righteousness and the authority of Jesus Christ. The shiftings that are happening in the spirit realm are about to release the greatest move of God the earth has ever seen. We must allow Him to make us ready for the day of His visitation so that we become a place of His habitation. This time it will not be a merely a “move” of God but an establishment of His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.
The work of His Spirit in our lives creates a ripple effect; it first begins in our hearts, then moves into our relationships, families, churches, communities, and then into the nations.
“Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.” Psalm 2:8
We ask Him for the nations and we surrender our hearts so that we bring forth the unshakable Kingdom in the midst of the great shakings of the kingdoms of this world.
“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.” I Peter 5:6-11
