Oceans in the Desert

I recently had a vivid dream where heavy rain began to suddenly and unexpectedly pour; it was a downpour like I have never before witnessed that was more like a flash flood from heaven to earth. As this downpour hit the earth, flashes of lightning were accompanied by the simultaneous crash of thunder as these strikes hit a grove of tall evergreen trees, splitting them in two.

I awoke from the dream hearing the words from Psalm 29:5,

“The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; Yes, the LORD breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.”

The Message Bible words it like this,

“God’s thunder smashes cedars, God topples the northern cedars.”

This dream came in the midst of the Spirit speaking to me daily about the need for the “fear of the Lord” to come back upon His people so that they can walk and release the fear of the Lord into the earth.

“So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.” Isaiah 59:19

When the enemy comes in like a flood (through witchcraft, perversions, and evil of all sorts) the Lord also comes like a flood to raise up a standard against him. I believe that God’s voice is about to come and raise up a standard! As the fear of the Lord returns to His Church it will release the awe of God that breaks—shatters—everything that has stood against Him.

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” Isaiah 5:20

A flood of evil that is being redefined as “good”has come to call darkness light and light darkness. But the fear of the Lord is about to touch the earth with a powerful strike that brings forth the Lord’s standard.

In my dream it was evergreen trees that were struck by this lightning. An evergreen tree was the symbol on the “Appeal to Heaven” flag that was flown by Washington’s Cruisers (George Washington’s first naval ships). This tree represented “Liberty” or freedom at the beginning of our great nation. Today it has become a symbol of prayer to see God return to our nation.

The definition of liberty is this,

“the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one’s way of life, behavior, or political views.”

Or,

“the power or scope to act as one pleases.”

The enemy has been rewriting his definition of liberty within our nation and within the nations of the world. It has become a liberty to pursue evil and call it good while oppressing those who call for the righteous standard of God to be raised up. Within the context of the Bible the word “liberty” means freedom. This is the freedom to live apart from slavery to the masters of sin and the world’s systems.

Within the standard of the fear of the Lord we are given freedom from the grip of slavery to sin and to unrighteousness. The enemy has set up a Babylonian culture that enslaves and blinds many from the “way of freedom” that Jesus provided for us on the cross. When Jesus came and died, a way was made through grace for all to be set free.

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” Galatians‬ ‭5:1‬ ‭

When He died the veil was torn and we were given free access to boldly come before the throne of grace and be reconciled with God; enjoying His presence where true liberty is found. I believe that our nation (as well as the nations of this world) are about to see a great “rending of the veil” that has blinded the eyes of the world from seeing their Messiah. The gods of this world have stood like trees, creating a veil that blinds people from seeing Jesus and from the revelation of true liberty and freedom. These “gods” have cast a shadow of darkness that call darkness light and light darkness.

But wait! The Lord has the final say! His voice thunders; breaking the cedars and rending the veil of separation between God and man.

As the Lord returns the awe and the fear of the Lord to His Church it will release a flood and a sound that lifts up a standard that reverses the tide of evil with a tsunami of righteousness and truth.

“The time will come,” says the LORD, “when the grain and grapes will grow faster than they can be harvested. Then the terraced vineyards on the hills of Israel will drip with sweet wine!” Amos 9:13

Now is the time to invite the fear of the Lord to come upon your life, your church, your city, and your nation. You are a part of the whole body and as the corporate anointing is established in the fear of the Lord it will bring liberty and freedom to the individual and the whole.
