Oceans in the Desert

For a number of years now God has been speaking to His people out of Isaiah 43:19,

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

The threshold into “a new thing”, more often than not, is a longer earthly time period then we expect. It involves preparation, purification and perseverance to fully move into the new. The new thing begins in individual hearts that willingly go through reformation and transformation. Then those lives spill out the overflow causing a corporate remnant to carry the same heart of unity and agreement.

When this happens the sounds we hear begin to change to a new sound that has never been heard before, the desires of His yielded ones change and align with the desires of the Lord, the language changes releasing words that shift atmospheres and invite others in and lastly; hearts change! The change of heart is a softening, a surrender and a purification from flesh to spirit.

The past few years have been the preparation individually and corporately so that we may know how to embrace the new thing without being held back by old things. The old isn’t necessarily negative but it would be if brought into the new. Just as a single old piece of fruit will spoil an entire basket of new fruit harvested or the mixing of old into new wine will spoil the whole batch so it is with the “new thing” that the Lord is doing.

We must be taught how to walk in it and keep it pure. I believe that 2019 will begin to open up the way to walk in the new way. It will not be the fullness but rather the beginning. It will be a year of revelation and instructions that bring about the manifestation of a “new move” that has never been seen before. It will be like the lighting of a match that sets seasoned wood aflame. It will catch afire and spread upon all that it touches that has been “seasoned” through the time of preparation. It will touch drought filled lives that thirst for what is real and pure causing them to burn with holy fire.

I hear the words in my spirit from Isaiah 30:21 that say,

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”

God is bringing wisdom, blueprints and instructions of how to walk in the new way. As doors open and the “seasoned ones” that have been set aflame move through those doors they will understand how to walk in a new way that keeps the way pure.

Even as we have seen the horrific fires throughout California over the past couple of years, this is merely a destructive counterfeit of the pure fire that brings life, harvest and great joy to all that it touches. As the natural conditions in California were ripe for wildfires that have destroyed so are the spiritual conditions ripe for that which will redeem and transform. The church in California will be a spiritual match for the whole nation (and nations) in the days and years to come.

Do not fear or be dismayed by the natural conditions of your city, state, nation or even of your current life situations because God is about to strike the enemy down and strike the match of revival that brings forth great victories.

December is a striking of the matches of new beginnings. Just as we’ve now entered into the Hanukkah season where eight matches are struck over eight nights (eight is the number of new beginnings), this month will usher us into a time of great light in the midst of darkness and the restoration of the temple. This will be a time of taking back lands and the things that were stolen. It will be a time of revival fire and abundant rain.

“Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.” Hoses 6:3

“Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.” Joel 2:23

Revival fires and the latter rain are coming upon us!
