Hear, Obey and Watch God Move

Kathi Pelton

We are in a time where the Lord is raising up a people who will listen for His voice of wisdom (instruction) and then they will obey. These will be a people who will not be dictated to by circumstances or who will delay because they don’t “see” the physical manifestation of the resources needed but they will hear, obey and then see God move!

God has had my husband and I pioneer this type of life and walk for the past twenty years on behalf of our family (and His family) and now we are seeing our children walk in this way. Faith is not what is seen or else it would not be faith. Faith is in the unseen promise and yet it is our assurance of things promised and hoped for.

When the Lord speaks, it is an invitation to respond. As we add our “yes” it becomes our agreement and partnership with His invitation. Then as we obey we begin to see God move. Of course we need to seek His timing but in my experience He is faithful to make that known. Delaying your “yes” based on needing to see the provision for the way is like not responding to the invitation. Your yes attaches your life to the provision of heaven.

Our family has watched time and time again the miraculous and amazing provision of the Lord as we said yes to what looked absolutely impossible in the natural but we had “heavenly assurance” because He spoke, we obeyed in faith and then God moved.

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”

Isaiah 30:21

Make a practice of listening and it will open your spiritual ears to hear clearly! As you hear be sure to obey and watch how your faith and confidence grows. This will prepare you to hear and obey the things that exceed your wildest dreams.

I often hear people question why God doesn’t use them to do the “greater works”. May I suggest that He uses those who have made it their lifestyle to listen and obey? I believe He has amazing plans for every one of His people. The key to living in that plan is to walk in it…it is the true “road less traveled.” The path of practical living usually leads to the ordinary but the path of supernatural living leads to the extraordinary.

Jesus replied, “But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.” Luke 11:28

Both His written Word and spoken word need to be heard and practiced. Jesus is the door and He is the Word…and His words, when put into action, become the doorway to living an abundant life.

You can trust Him! He is faithful to all of His promises. When the Lord asked something of you there is always a guarantee and promise attached to it. He does not ask and then leave you without provision. It may not always look like you’d expect but it will come in a way that will have His fingerprints all over it.

Let’s finish this year with ears to hear, a heart that responds and feet that walk it out. This will make 2019 a year of movement because His people will no longer be stagnant but moving in faith at the sound of His voice. Maybe a move of God begins with feet that move!
