Oceans in the Desert

For many days now I have been hearing the word, “Echo.” Of a matter of fact I hear it and see it so often that it has now become like an echo in my ears. When I hear a word that repetitively I must stop and ask the Lord, “What are you saying?” So I did.

As I waited upon the Lord I was first led to look up the meaning of the word.

Echo: a repetition of sound produced by the reflection of sound waves from a wall, mountain, or other obstructing surface. a sound heard again near its source after being reflected.

When sound hits a hard surface or obstruction an echo is created as the sound waves bounce back near the source— we truly seem to have hit a mountain or obstruction globally and it is causing a great echo.

As I prayed I was taken to Hebrews 11 and heard the words,

“The echo of faith from the saints of old, who believed in Yahweh, has joined with the faith of those who believe today. The sound of old and sound of the new has become one clear echo which is a battering ram against the opposition that seeks to kill, steal and destroy. Mountains will come down!”

Hear are some of the words from Hebrews 11,

“All these people died still believing what God had promised them. They did not receive what was promised, but they saw it all from a distance and welcomed it. They agreed that they were foreigners and nomads here on earth.” Hebrews‬ ‭11:13‬ ‭

The great cloud of witnesses are watching the faith that they stood in long ago and the faith that we stand in converge as a sound that will echo through the earth today and through eternity. The intermingling of their faith and our faith is creating a frequency of sound that will break the barriers! It is the sound of those who stood in faith, walked by faith, persevered in faith and by faith took down mountains!

Let faith arise in this hour! Let it arise like never before. Grab hold of the same faith that Noah, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob lived and died in! Let it become intermingled with your faith and the sound of your “yes.” Break the sound barrier of accusation and opposition and may the echo bring the fortified wall tumbling down as in the days of Jericho.

Pray, worship, prophesy, declare His Word aloud and let your feet go forth in faith! Release the sound of faith!

There will be another sound that echoes through the land and that is the sound of the enemy armies crying out in distress,

“The nations will hear of your devastating defeat. your cries of distress will echo throughout the earth. In the panic of their flight one soldier will trip over another and both of them will fall down defeated.” Jeremiah 46:12

Jesus already secured our victory! We know the end of the story and though we see the nations raging and darkness is seen on the earth— the faith of the saints of old and the faith that you live by will echo throughout eternity and will be a battering ram against the armies of darkness. His defeat is as sure as your victory.

Stir up faith. Don’t hide, don’t back down and don’t be found silent. Let the sound of the men and women of faith be heard throughout the earth!
