To Those Who Follow Us…

I know that we have many new followers and subscribers to my page. Thank you for joining us. This particular post is more of a personal post rather than an article.

It would mean a lot to us if you took the time to read this personal update from our family.

Our youngest daughter, Amy and her husband, Luke, have been married for almost fifteen years. They tried to have a baby for twelve of those years unsuccessfully. Last August they adopted a beautiful baby girl, fulfilling their dream to be parents.

This past July they were contacted by a couple who felt to gift them with two frozen embryos— in hopes that Amy could experience pregnancy and give their daughter a sibling to grow up with.

If you haven’t heard of frozen embryo adoption, then it is the legal adoption of fertilized embryos that are donated by couples that went through the IVF process to conceive a baby. Often, there are more viable embryos than the family will be able to use or carry to birth. These couples can donate their frozen embryos to couples that wish to carry a baby but cannot conceive on their own.

The frozen embryos that Luke and Amy received are two boys that are half Caucasian and half Korean. There may be a girl embryo given to them as well from the same donor.

Since being gifted these embryos, Amy has been going through many tests and procedures to prepare her body for carrying a baby. Their fertility specialist, who has overseen the process of Amy’s medical care, contacted them with some very hopeful news of a number of options available to them to carry a baby in her body. They will begin immediately walking out these options.

We have great hope of seeing Amy being able to carry a baby in the very near future.

Please be praying for them as they walk through the upcoming procedures. They will need the Lord to bless their steps and fill her womb with a new life.

Of course, these procedures do not come without a high financial cost. Although the frozen embryos were gifted to them (which normally can cost $5k or more to receive), the actual medical procedures will cost much more than that. Unfortunately, current medical insurance does not cover these costs. They have received a few generous donations that have helped them pay for the tests and procedures that Amy had already had but as they move forward they will need more funds to complete the process— or at least to begin the first procedure.

WE FIRST AND FOREMOST ARE ASKING FOR PRAYER!

We trust that the Lord is leading them, just as he did with their daughter, Charli’s adoption. Now, we are so thankful that Charli may have a sibling.

The past twelve years of trying to begin a family have been filled with a rollercoaster of emotions— once again they are standing in hope and faith that the Lord is leading them in each step.

If you would like to support them financially in their ongoing journey to grow their family and see Amy carry a baby, I will put links below that you use to send support.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, to pray for them and to consider supporting them with a financial gift.

With Love,
