Oceans in the Desert

I don’t normally post about baseball games but today I just have to. I also have never rooted for the Los Angeles Dodgers to win a game but I did during this World Series. I am from the San Francisco North Bay so obviously our family are big SF Giants fans! Giants and Dodgers are considered rival teams so to root for the Dodgers was not a popular choice but I did.

And, here’s why…

In October I finished a West Coast prayer tour called, “Uncorked” and the Lord told us that this tour would mark a turnaround for the West Coast— especially for California. We were to decree the uncorking of victory, of the new wine being released and of the turnaround toward righteousness (and away from evil) for California. We heard that this would, in turn, uncork the other western states and then the nation.

During the Los Angeles leg of the tour we were staying right by the Dodgers’ stadium where games could be seen going on at night when we’d pass by. Each time we’d pass by my attention was being drawn to the stadium and to the Dodgers team. I heard our hosts talking together and they said that the team might make it to the nationals but definitely not the World Series. But I still kept feeling a sense of destiny on their season.

When I heard that the Dodgers had made it into the World Series, the Spirit of the Lord spoke to me and said,

“It’s been a long and hard fought journey but the unexpected turnaround for California will come. Watch for confirmation as you see the Dodgers win the World Series. When you see the champagne uncorked in a victory celebration you will know that the uncorking of California has begun.”

Well, many times it certainly did not appear that they would win— even in the final game. Then in the 11th inning the turnaround came! And, it came in the 11th month and for California, it would appear to be in the 11th hour.

This is a turnaround time for California— a transitional time into what God is uncorking— NEW WINE!

California— in the 11th inning, the 11th month and the 11th hour— there is victory. You have been uncorked and the turnaround has begun.
