There is a deep healing that is taking place in God’s people right now. This healing is uprooting every place that has held His sons and daughters captive and kept them from experiencing the abundant life. There are roots of trauma, pain and disappointment in souls of that have created strongholds and barriers against living in all that He has prepared for them.
Do not be surprised or dismayed when you suddenly feel the Spirit of God going to deep, deep places to remove every stone that has weighed you down or held you back (attaching you to former things). He is moving His people forward; free from past traumas that have become imprinted upon the souls of His children.
Yesterday as I was dusting and polishing the many family photos that we have throughout our home. As I was doing this the Spirit came upon me in the form of intercession. As I cleaned the glass that was over each photo of my children (and Family members) the Spirit led me to pray for every place of darkness, disappointments and life traumas that had touched their lives. I could feel the Spirit was erasing the places that these things had become imprinted on their souls. Although our children have been raised in a loving family and we have nurtured their spirits and souls with the love of God; they live in a fallen world and were raised by imperfect parents, therefore they have still experienced difficult things that have impacted their lives.
As this intercession came upon me for my children, it proceeded to increase beyond my sons and daughters to His sons and daughters. I saw traumas that were literally “imprinted” upon the souls of people’s lives being erased and removed. Light and cleansing came upon the very places were trauma had taken root. As the light came it brought them into peace, joy and a greater spiritual maturity that had been stunted by the past traumas.
Have you ever seen a “wheel lock” (tire clamp) that law enforcement officers will use to prevent a vehicle from being driven? The Spirit showed me these traumatic events as “wheel locks” upon the lives of His people that were keeping them from moving forward from the old into the new. He is bringing the healing that is needed to remove these clamps that have locked people in the place of old traumas.
Rest in His love and allow His Spirit to do the deep work of healing that He desires to do. This work will free up the bound places that are keeping you stuck. He will erase the imprinted trauma and replace it with the imprinting of His love that will set you free to move forward. Make time and space to lay in His presence to cooperate with this healing process.
I not only saw this deep healing taking place in many but then I saw Him go to others who had places that had become strongholds of sin. In His compassion and love, He began searching out “dark secrets and hidden motives” that had become strongholds in their lives.
“…For he will bring our darkest secrets to light and will reveal our private motives. Then God will give to each one whatever praise is due.” 1 Corinthians 4:5
If you are dealing with hidden sins or impure motives, invite His Spirit to come and shed His light into these places and ask Him to heal the roots of pain that made a place for these strongholds to take you captive. Light will come into the places where darkness has created an environment that breeds sin. As lightness comes upon these places it will change the spiritual environment within your soul, causing righteousness to replace the strongholds of sin. The blood of Jesus will change your story from captivity to freedom.
These people that have struggled with hidden secrets and impure motives will be transformed into the very ones who will set many free in the days to come from the very things that held them captive. They will carry an anointing to set the captives free.
”Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm 139:23-24
This is a powerful prayer that bring forth healing and freedom. His “searching” ushers His people into the paths of abundant and everlasting life. This is a time of crossing the Red Sea. Though it has seemed that there has been a vast enemy army at your back and a raging sea before you…watch as God parts this sea and destroys the enemy that has pursued you and held you as a slave for many years. Freedom is available now…touch the sea before you with the staff of faith in your hand and cross over into your freedom.
