Oceans in the Desert

This week I have been in our home state of California. I began in our hometown of Santa Rosa where the devastating 2017 #TubbsFire destroyed 6000 homes and buildings and took many lives. I finished our trip in Redding, California where the 2018 #CarrFire had a similar devastating effect. While there we were with friends from the Chico/Paradise area where this past year saw the entire city of Paradise destroyed by the #CampFire.

We all were worshipping together last night (people from all three regions and beyond). A prophetic song began to come forth about the love of God and as it did I was taken into a visionary encounter:

The Vision

I saw the three California fires (Tubbs, Camp and Paradise) and that devastated Northern California. Then three phrases began to be heralded over the land,

“How deep is the love of God.”

“How wide is the love if God.”

“How high is the love of God.”

As each phrase (or declaration) was released over the land a wildfire of the love of God came upon California. This was a fire that people were running into rather than away from. It restored rather than devastated. It brought life instead of death.

There is a saying in America that says, “As California goes, so goes the nation.” Though this has been a negative truth for those who desire righteousness in our nation, it will suddenly be redeemed and embraced as California releases the fire of the depths, width and heights of the love of God in the days ahead.

I saw the Lion of Judah and His mane was flames of fire. Then He released a roar of His immense love over the state. He roared three times and each roar fit with the above vision and fire came forth from His mouth; the fire of His love!

“For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:14-19

Get ready to see the Golden State afire with the love of God that will ignite the nation with a “love revival!”
