Oceans in the Desert

I saw in the spirit heaven bustling with busyness and great activity. It reminded me of the childhood scenes of Santa’s workshop just before the arrival of Christmas Eve. Angels were preparing things to be delivered, scrolls and heavenly blueprints were being looked over with great detail and a great preparation was underway. I also saw angels that were overseeing the preparation of hearts and the lives who were about to receive these gifts…for the gifts were promises fulfilled.

I immediately had an urgent sense of “get ready”. I found that interesting since our family is in the midst of a huge preparation as our oldest son and his family prepare to relocate from New York in order to move the the Pacific Northwest (where we live) to be a part of what God is doing here. At the very same time our youngest son is moving from California to the Portland area to also be with us as well. Our house has been bustling with activity and preparation as an influx of six more people come to join us at the end of the month. Even our hearts are being prepared for what is required to walk in unity, intimacy and oneness of hearts together.

This is a time to get ready and be prepared. First we prepare our hearts and then our lives to make room for what He is bringing. Far to often we want the promise but the ground work and preparation has not taken place. This causes chaos and warfare to immediately ensue when the promise arrives. Preparation is key to the fullness of joy that is to come with the fulfillment.

I am reminded of when one of our family members bought a pre-fabricated house and the great work that had to take place prior to its arrival. The land had to be cleared, a foundation had to be laid, electricity and plumbing had to be prepared and a wide space made for the massive trucks delivering it. It was an “all hands on deck” time. I see the preparation in His people’s hearts and lives in a similar way.

This is an “all hands on deck” kind of season. It’s a “get ready” and be preparing time and season. Something is arriving that must be prepared for. There must be room made in your heart and life for the gifts that are arriving. Do not be caught unaware because it will create unnecessary problems and warfare that will spoil the joy of this fulfillment.

“Listen! It’s the voice of someone shouting, “Clear the way through the wilderness for the LORD! Make a straight highway through the wasteland for our God!” Isaiah 40:3

Mountains are being lowered and valleys raised up! Stones and obstructions are being removed. A great clearing has begun both internally and externally.

“Be it unto me according to your word.” Luke 1:38
