Oceans in the Desert

As I waited on the Lord I began to hear the words, “Mercy is falling, mercy is falling!” Then I saw what looked like a waterfall of mercy coming from the mercy seat of God. It was pouring down upon those who were crying out for mercy.

God’s mercy is a powerful and amazing gift that comes out of His love and compassion upon those who deserve judgement. It is defined like this:

Mercy: compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone whom it is within one’s power to punish or harm.

“For judgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.” James 2:13

I then saw people who were relentlessly being accused by the enemy; even of things that had actually occurred (legitimate accusations but ones that had been covered in the blood of Jesus). They were overcome with regret, guilt, remorse and deep sorrow. They were bowed down begging the Lord for mercy and the Lord’s great compassion met their cry. He bent down to comfort and have mercy upon them.

The mercy seat is sprinkled with the blood of the Lamb and I saw those that were bend down suddenly being before the mercy seat where the blood of Jesus brought forth forgiveness, compassion, and redemption. The waterfall of mercy was flowing and washing away regrets, guilt, and judgement. The accusations suddenly were “thrown out” and silenced because mercy was triumphing with victory over judgement.

His mercy was releasing divine help needed to redeem circumstances that were caused by past actions that created hardships and a heavy yoke that weighed down upon people. True repentance was bringing great freedom upon lives spiritually and overflowing to touch natural circumstances.

There is mercy flowing down from the mercy seat of God for you right now. It is the blood of the Lamb that has provided mercy and grace for those who will come before Him in surrender and humility.

“…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.” Romans‬ ‭3:23-26‬ ‭

Oh, how amazing is the blood of Jesus that washes away our sins and is the justifier for those who have faith in Him!
