On August 2, 2007 I had an article published on The Elijah List called “The Roosters Are Crowing, “It’s A New Day!” (http://www.elijahlist.com/words/display_word.html?ID=5541).This word was birthed out of a time where our family was recovering from losing our home in a fire just months earlier. A Mennonite couple from Pennsylvania felt led of the Spirit to go on a treasure hunt with God to buy our family a prophetic gift. What they were led to buy for us was a beautifully crafted ceramic rooster to signal a “new day is dawning”.
Now, twelve years later, I am once again being reminded again and again of that rooster. It started a few weeks back when some friends and I was doing a “treasure hunt” for property. We were waking the grounds of a magnificent estate that is for sale and on one of the patios was a life size statue of a rooster. To say that it was out of place for this setting would be an understatement! But the “out of place” caused it to stand out to us! Immediately I remembered my prophetic gift from 2007 that said that beauty would come forth from our ashes and a rooster announced “the dawning of a new day.”
Since that day a couple weeks ago I have been seeing roosters everywhere! I hear the sound of their early morning crowing deep in my spirit which is awakening the dawn of a new day and awakening hope!
Yesterday I wrote a word about barn revivals and barn raisings that will occur in the days ahead. As I released that word I saw in my spirit a weather vane on the top of a barn. This weather vane had a rooster on it and was spinning around and around because the wind of the spirit was coming from every direction. It was like a holy whirlwind that was touching these barns. Then last night I was watching a news station that was tracking a tornado that had touched down in Ford County, Kansas. The storm chasers who were following it kept reporting how it was coming upon barns and only touching the barns. As I was watching this unfold before my eyes I once again began to see in my spirit the weather vane with the rooster on top of the barn that was spinning from the wind that was coming from every direction. It was a sign in the natural of what will come and touch barns…only the wind of the Spirit will restore and not destroy.
God often speaks to me through visions (I’m a seer), the natural visual things and through natural events that declare spiritual truths. In this season I am seeing barns, roosters, fire, wind and the dawning of a new day. These are not separate but rather they converge together to paint a picture of what the Lord is about to do.
I believe that this is a prophetic sign for America! Just as we were sent a prophetic gift of a rooster twelve years ago; God is sending the church a prophetic sign and gift of a rooster that announces a new day…a day where revival will come upon communities as we return to our grass roots of gathering together on homesteads (in barns). We will see unity come from sharing life together, sharing meals together and raising barns together. Family, community and gathering in love will cause the Spirit’s fire to fall and the wind to blow. Homesteads will host the presence of God and become portals of miracles, signs and wonders.
This is a time to restore those old barns, build new barns and gather in barns because it is a new day! The stalls will be full again, the vats will overflow, the grain will be plentiful and we will rejoice!
“Consider from this day onward, from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month. Since the day that the foundation of the Lord ‘s temple was laid, consider: Is the seed yet in the barn? Indeed, the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have yielded nothing. But from this day on I will bless you.”” Haggai 2:18-19
Where the barns have been empty and desolate, they now will be full! Where there had been no seed, now there will be an abundance of grain! Where there has been to yield from the land and from the work of your hands, now there will be more than enough. “From this day on I will bless you!” (On a side note and sign; my husband and I were married on the 24th day of the ninth month… Gregorian calendar not Jewish calendar).
Though I believe that this is specifically a word for America, I also see it touching other nations. Canada, Australia, Argentina, Japan, Scotland, Mexico, Brazil…and many other nations will hear the crow of the rooster to announce a new day that brings them into harvest and blessings.
The rooster is crowing…”It’s a new day!”
