This morning while I was worshipping I was taken into a powerful vision. In the vision I was kneeling in prayer at the Lincoln Memorial; looming across the National Mall to the Capitol Building. I was kneeling and weeping for our nation from the exact spot that Martin Luther King gave his “I Have A Dream” speech. As I interceded I suddenly saw the Capitol Building split down the middle but it was a veil tearing.
Suddenly what appeared in its place was the Lamb of God seated upon the mercy seat. His throne was as large as the Capitol Building had been. At His feet stood those that serve in leadership in our nation; the representatives from the house and the senate. The veil had been torn and this “house divided” was before the King of Kings and as they looked upon Him they suddenly became united by the love in His eyes and the revelation of “who He truly is!”
In this vision the veil of deception, division and separation was torn and Jesus was revealed to all who filled our Capitol Building as “The God Who We Trust In.” Mercy poured forth from His throne as they bowed in awe at the sight of Him and their eyes were open to truth.
As I saw this vision I began to weep as if it was happening even now. Faith for revival in that divided house filled me. We know that the Word says,
“But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.” Matthew 12:25
There has been a crumbling of the house in our nation; often revolving around the issues of family and life. This has caused many individual homes and families throughout our nation to crumble. But if revival can come to Washington DC and the sovereignty of God causes the veil to be torn, then even the enemies of God will cry out “Holy is the Lord.” Then we will be united and truly stand as the United States!
This past week, as I was in Washington DC, I experienced such an awakening of deep intercession for our nation. I literally didn’t want to leave but longed to stay and weep between the porch and the alter on behalf of our nation. Oh how I long to see Jesus receive His full inheritance in our nation. I ached to see His mercy respond to the blood that cries out in the ground with His blood that washes away our sin. I longed with such a deep travail to see our nation bow before Him as our eyes are opened to see His beauty. He is worthy!
Will we take this vision and add our faith and intercession to it? Or will we merely say, “That will never happen!”? It never will if we do not take up the cause of Christ on behalf of our nation. God is asking for those who will partner with Him and say, “Yes, I believe and will intercede!”
As I stood in David’s Tent last week in DC I could feel the longing of the Lord that it would always be full…full of believers that have been called to stand in the gap. The angels gather there and the Lord is longing for His people to gather there to partner with the heavenly host that He has sent there.
In the early 2000’s my husband and I directed a house of prayer that Patricia King had birthed called The War Room. It was an amazing place but in 2006 the Lord visited us and asked us if we would sow it into the ground as a seed that would come forth at a later time. We have longed to have the seed come up out of the ground since that time.
As I slept during my third night in Washington DC I had a dream that “war rooms” would suddenly arise out of the ground; first in DC and then multiplied throughout the nation. They were places that men and women would gather to come into the counsel chambers of heaven. Those who gathered would receive the counsel and wisdom of the Lord for the days ahead. Scrolls, blueprints and strategies would come as they gathered in His presence. Wisdom for issues that man could not find solutions for would come and change the trajectory of homes, families, cities, states and for our nation.
Can revival come to our nation’s capital? Yes it can! Speak it, let the vision burn in our hearts, call on God and stand in the gap. May His glory fill this house!
