Oceans in the Desert

In all the reports written and conversations being held regarding a few known voices that have “fallen away” we must continue to know that the Lord has sent forth His whistle and many are gathering with a resounding, “Yes!” in their hearts to give all for the sake of His glory. Though the enemy is highlighting the few losses— we must not forget that the gains are far greater!

“”I will whistle for them and gather them in, for I have redeemed them, and they shall be as many as they were before.” Zechariah‬ ‭10:8‬ ‭

Though this verse is specifically speaking of Israel, it also speaks of the restoration of His family that has and is being grafted in. Headline news mostly focuses on the losses but the Lord is announcing the advancement and the multiplication of sons and daughters that are responding to His whistle. They are returning to the Lord in numbers far greater than the few who are falling away. We can pray for those ones but we must not forget to rejoice at those who are daily being added to the family of God and those who are leaving all to gather at the sound of His whistle.

“I will make them strong in the Lord, and they shall walk (go forth) in his name,” declares the Lord.” Zechariah‬ ‭10:12‬ ‭

There is a sound, a whistle, being released that is calling the family together. It is the sound of the glory of the Lord, the sound of oneness and the sound of the Bridegroom calling to His Bride. There is a response to His whistle coming forth! It releases the sound of an army marching in unison, shoulder to shoulder (without jostling one another). It is the sound of the lovesick bride that leaves her comfort to run after the Bridegroom. And it is the beautiful sight of an unbroken covenant that releases the oil that keeps the lamps of the wise virgins burning.

Let’s pray for those who have fallen away but even more, let us join the Lord’s “whistle” that calls the redeemed to gather and multiplies the sons and daughters. Let us call to the north, the south, the east and the west— let them go, do not hold them back!

“I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’ Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth–“ Isaiah 43:6

This is a time of gathering the family to march as one army; carrying the glory of the Lord. He will have dominion from sea to sea, from the rivers to the ends of the earth and His people will walk as one with Him. They will stand as ambassadors, the government of God, to bring what is decreed in heaven into the earth.
