An Invitation Into The Deep

by Kathi Pelton

“Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me.” Psalm‬ ‭42:7‬ ‭

The sons and daughters of God have been invited to be taken into the deep places that will cleanse and purify our hearts. It is a deep purging of everything that has kept us from His perfect love, His truth and His ways. It is a baptism with cleansing water and a fire that refines. A way is being made into the deep places of God’s heart but the way requires that light must expose all darkness and fire falls upon the human heart.

These deep waters are answering the prayers that have come before the Lord that have cried out the words of David from Psalm 51:10-12

“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.”

We are in a Psalm 51 kairos moment in time where the deep longing to be holy as He is holy is resting upon us. The longing of God and the longing of His remnant have converged with a kiss of oneness. There is a convergence with the deep groaning (intercession) of Jesus, the groaning of creation and the groaning of mankind to be reconciled to His original intent and His perfect love.

This is why there is a roar coming from the Lion of Judah that releases the sound of restoration. This roar is bringing us into the depths of perfect love that cleanses us (His bride) and is releasing the fire that purifies. We long to be a bride without spot or wrinkle and suddenly we are more aware than ever of our spots and wrinkles. In the grip of this awareness and awakening, repentance becomes such a beautiful gift. Repentance draws us deeper and take us higher; it breaks down the barriers that keep us bound to the shame of sin and stains.

Come now, let’s settle this,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool. Isaiah 1:18

There are moments that “the deep” feels as if it might swallow us up or drown us but it is actually taking us higher. It is making a way for the motives of the heart to be made pure so that we can walk in oneness with Christ and oneness (unity) with the body.

He is calling out your name and inviting you into the deep places. It is an invitation into the depth, heights and widths of His perfect (agape) love. His perfect love brings water that cleanses and fire that purifies; making us whiter than snow.

Say yes to His call to come deeper!
