For days now, all I can say are these words, “We are being taken back to the blood of Jesus and the finished work of the cross!”
That sums up the “prophetic word for this hour” that we are in! Jesus Christ and Him crucified for the sins of the world.
Repentance is falling upon the church and it is setting us free! Why? Because it is immediately met by the blood that cleanses us and the broken body that heals us. This is the message that we must carry into the days ahead. We will see that there is POWER IN THE BLOOD—wonder working power.
We have come up with so many formulated prayers; curse breaking prayers, blood line prayers, healing prayers, deliverance prayers and “repeat after me” prayers but I believe we are going to see much of those types of prayers fall away because when the power is about to come on and it will flow from the message of the blood of Jesus and the finished work of the cross only. Manifest power will flow like never before! This simple and true message can be carried and spoken by all His people.
As we are shut in, we are like the disciples in the upper room after Jesus ascended. We are waiting for “power from on high to fill us.” The Spirit of God lives in us already but I had a vision the other day of Jesus knocking on the door of our hearts and when we opened the door our hearts were so crowded with other “spiritual things” that there was no room for Him to come in and dine with us. Then a spiritual spring cleaning occurred and it removed all that was crowding our hearts till it looked like a clean and empty room. Then Jesus set up a table in the middle of this room and put the communion elements (the bread and wine) on the table. He declared, “It is finished.” Then He sat down at the table and invited us to come and partake of His body and His blood. As we did “power from on high returned and the glory filled His temple once again.
Then I heard this verse,
I am the LORD; that is My name! I will not yield My glory to another or My praise to idols. Isaiah 42:8
The clutter (yes, even spiritual clutter) in our hearts has demanded attention, affection, and precious time. Often we have become more fascinated by our spiritual discoveries more than the Lamb that was slain. But as we are coming up to the time of Passover, Good Friday and Easter I believe we will see the true gospel set us free from the captivity of things that have vied for our time and attention more than Jesus alone! In Him are all things and all things belong to Him. His glory comes and fills the temple as we return to the Love that came into a fallen world to live a spotless life and then take upon Himself the sin of all mankind. With every lash, every thorn, every scorn and every nail; the power of sin and death were broken. The with the words, “It is finished!” He made a way for mankind to have everlasting and abundant life. All power to save, heal, deliver and set free is in the death and resurrection of our precious Jesus.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
Our upper room waiting is happening now as the Spirit goes through our hearts and cleanses us of the clutter (even spiritual things) that have become idols. Power will come as the body and blood of Jesus are restored as the source of all.
I began hearing the Spirit speak to me regarding calling a corporate daily communion from 4/4/2020 -4/8/2020 (Passover). Though I was sure that I’d heard this I wasn’t sure why until I woke up this morning. That’s when the “why?” began to be revealed.
How My Day Began:
I woke up this morning at exactly 4:44 a.m. and heard the Spirit speak the words from Ezekiel 44:4,
“Also He brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the temple; so I looked, and behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD; and I fell on my face.” Then, as I began to pray, I once again saw the date before my eyes, 4/4/2020. Then saw four days of a corporate communion prior to Passover beginning on 4/4. Once again, I didn’t know why or what the significance of the date 4/4 was. The fifth day, Passover (on 4/8) would also be a day of partaking in communion and anointing the doorposts of your home in remembrance of His deliverance from captivity.
As I began to pray further into what I was seeing and hearing I was led to look up the date (4/4) this year to see if it means anything significant to the Jewish people.
Sure enough it does!
It is the last Sabbath prior to Passover and it is called, “Shabbat HaGadol” (“Great Shabbat” שבת הגדול). It is the Shabbat immediately before Passover. The first Shabbat HaGadol took place in Egypt on 10 Nisan five days before the Israelite Exodus. On that day, the Israelites were given their first commandment which applied only to that Shabbat, “On the tenth day of this month (Nisan)… each man should take a lamb for the household, a lamb for each home (Exodus 12:3).” This lamb is the lamb that would be sacrificed four days later and its blood placed on the doorposts of every Jewish home.
This explained the four days that lead up to Passover but I felt that there was something more; something specific that was on the Lord’s heart. Knowing that we are in a time like no other time before, where the whole earth is closed in, I could feel the depth of purpose behind this time of communion—but what was it? As I prayed more and researched more I finally found the piece that I had been looking for!
During the time when the Israelites were living in captivity in Egypt “the lamb” was considered a god (it was an Egyptian idol). After 400 years of living in the Egyptian culture many of the Jewish people had begun to accept Egyptian idols as a part of their belief system; they had abandoned the purity of Yahweh being their one and only God. But in His mercy He was breaking idolatry by asking His chosen people to take an unblemished lamb (this Egyptian “idol”) and set it aside to be sacrificed and it’s blood sprinkled on the doorway of every Hebrew homes. This act, which was going to be used to save the firstborn of every Jewish household, was also setting them free from the idolatry that had crept into their lives. They too, would be locked behind the doors of their homes and instructed to not go out until the “death passed by.”
This commandment to pick an unblemished lamb happened on the Sabbath prior to when the death angel would pass by the homes of the Jewish people, sparring their firstborn sons from the plague of death. Today the Jewish people remember this day and call it Shabbat HaGadol
God has said that there is a timeframe from 4/4-4/8 to break idolatry in the church. These are places that we’ve conformed to cultural beliefs and behaviors that have replaced the pure and simple truth that is found in “The Blood of the Lamb.” I saw in my spirit many thing “added” to the purity of His blood that was shed and those things were defiling His temple; which is us.
This is an essential time to come as God’s chosen people and set apart time each of these four days to partake in communion with your entire household. Each day we will acknowledge the spotless and pure Lamb of God who, by the shedding of His blood and breaking of His body, paid the price for the sin of the world. We will partake of the pure and simple truth of our salvation and deliverance from sin.
It is the blood of Jesus that speaks a better word and has the power to save us from this plague called Covid-19. It is time to see the glory of God fill the temple (Ez. 44:4) as we fall on our faces in humility and repentance. These days of communion will prepare our hearts to be sparred from death and delivered from every form of idolatry that has crept into the church. As we are locked in our houses, just like the Jews were during that first Passover, we will once again be saved and delivered from our captivity.
It’s time to see the power of the blood of Jesus come back upon the church. It’s time to believe the old hymn we use to sing,
“Would you be free from the burden of sin? There’s power in the blood, power in the blood Would you o’er evil a victory win? There’s wonderful power in the blood There is power, power, wonder-working power In the blood of the Lamb There is power, power, wonder-working power In the precious blood of the Lamb Would you be free from your passion and pride There’s power in the blood, power in the blood Come for a cleansing to Calvary’s tide There’s wonderful power in the blood There is power, power, wonder-working power In the blood of the Lamb There is power, power, wonder-working power In the precious blood of the Lamb There is power, power, wonder-working power In the blood of the Lamb There is power, power, wonder-working power In the precious blood of the Lamb There is power, power, wonder-working power In the blood (in the blood) of the Lamb (of the Lamb) There is power, power, wonder-working power In the precious blood of the Lamb.”
The blood of Jesus is the only thing that will save us from this pandemic. It will deliver His people from idolatry and it will cause this curse to pass us by.
Will you join us as we partake in communion for four days (4/4-4/8)? There is power in the blood and a return to the cross of Christ.
For days now I have had a deep sense that the enemy is trying to change times and seasons. His plan is to prematurely initiate things that would “buy him more time” and stop the Church from occupying land that he has held.
God will use this “pandemic/epidemic” to usher the Church into a greater purity and into the governmental authority that we were intended to walk in. As many of God’s people have joined in the 40-day “Jesus Fast” and now (beginning March 18th) a three-day Esther fast— I believe that this fast is unto a greater purification and authority for the days to come.
The enemy’s plan is to take this global crisis into a global shift that would change times and seasons but as I was woken up at 3 a.m. to pray, I heard the words,
“I have enacted a preemptive strike of prayer that will cut this global demonic assignment short!”
Corporate prayer will stop this in its tracks! As prayer is partnered with the fasting that is happening on a global scale, we will see this come to a sudden and miraculous halt. In this hour we have all witnessed prayer meetings move from the boundaries of buildings to the seemingly limitless expanse of the internet. Nations are joining together as ONE FAMILY to pray, stand with one another and to be the corporate voice of the Bride. Theological differences (opinions) and cultural differences are being set aside to raise our voices as one voice.
In the midst of a global tragic pandemic a global incense of prayer is being released and it is beautiful! It is uniting His people in an offering of prayer and praise. It is John 17:21-23 coming upon the Church.
“I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me. “I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one. I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.”
In the midst of what was sent to separate us and isolate us; God has raised up a way to come into times and places of corporate authority, unity and agreement in order to launch a preemptive strike of prayer. We may not be physically together but we are joined in our spirits and online as nations gather to humble themselves and pray as one!
We are praying with nations and names that we never have joined with before this crisis began. Our schedules and lives have been interrupted but God is using it to awaken us from a slumber that was allowing the enemy to dictate time and change seasons.
On Monday morning I was at a prayer meeting and while I was there I went into a vision. In the vision I was trying to wake up my oldest son, who is a very heavy sleeper (VERY heavy sleeper!). I heard his alarm go off but it did not wake him up so I went into his room and began to gently shake him; still he did not wake up. I then realized that the hour was late and began to shake him harder. Finally I shook him with a force that shook everything around him. With that he was awakened— just in time to not be late.
I immediately knew that it was a vision revealing that there are those who have been in a “hard sleep” that needed a forceful shaking to finally awaken. My oldest son is part of the millennial generation and I felt that is was also to further awaken those upcoming leaders who are now young adults. The enemy wanted to have these ones sleep through his attempt to change times and seasons until it was “too late.”
God is using this shaking to awaken many to keep and align with His times and seasons; with His heart and longings. As I went into intercession following the vision I found my mouth crying out the words, “Awaken us from this ‘hard sleep’ that has caused our hearts to slumber in the hour of need.”
A couple years ago I was given a very detailed dream of a younger millennial generation. In this dream they would not sleep as the disciples did while Jesus prayed in the garden on the night of his betrayal. They would remain awake and “give Him no rest— until the end…” (Isaiah 62:7). In this very detailed dream (which I’ll share at another time) God called this generation His “Third WatchGeneration.”
The third watch of the night is the midnight to 3 a.m. hours. There are four watches of the night; the fourth being from 3 am to 6 am which finishes the night. Many believe that we are in the “fourth watch” of the ages but in this dream the Lord clearly spoke and called the young adults of this day “The Third Watch Generation.” They may be the trip wire for the third great awakening. But it may take a great shaking (as we are experiencing) to awaken many of them from a “hard sleep” so that they, “Give Him no rest!” They may be the ones to usher in the fourth and final watch?
Let this shaking awaken every place in each of us that has been in a “hard sleep.” Let’s awaken to first love and not turn him away when He comes to knock upon the door of our hearts.
Throughout this week the words from Songs of Solomon 3:1-4 have been going through my spirit,
“By night on my bed I sought the one I love; I sought him, but I did not find him. “I will rise now,” I said, “And go about the city; In the streets and in the squares I will seek the one I love.” I sought him, but I did not findhim. The watchmen who go about the city found me; I said, “Have you seen the one I love?” Scarcely had I passed by them, When I found the one I love. I held him and would not let him go, Until I had brought him to the house of my mother, And into the chamber of her who conceived me.”
In this time of shaking, prayer and fasting may we be like the bride running through the streets looking for the “one we love” and may we find Him, hold Him and not let Him go!
This shaking is causing a preemptive strike that stops the enemy from changing times and seasons but even greater— it is awakening first love! —————————-
The late John Paul Jackson prophesied about two pandemics that would come; the first would mainly produce fear but the second one would be very serious. I am sobered by the fact that God gave us words that we see coming to pass in our current days through voices that “left us too soon” like John Paul Jackson, Kim Clement and Jill Austin. “Give us ears to hear, Lord!”
As I’ve watched fear empty the shelves of grocery stores and even online warehouses I began to think about Joseph and how God gave him the interpretation of Pharaoh’s dream (Genesis 41) where there would be seven years of abundance and seven years of famine. Because Joseph was given the interpretation of Pharaoh’s dream he was given Pharaoh’s signet ring and put in charge of Egypt during this fourteen year period. Joseph took from the abundance of the seven years and stored grain “beyond what they could measure” that would provide in the days of famine that were coming. During the famine the nations went to Egypt to receive from Joseph’s storehouses the provision that would sustain their lives.
Yesterday I kept hearing in my spirit three words, “Fill Joseph’s Storehouse!”
What if what we are experiencing today with the COV-19 is merely the dress rehearsal for a much more serious pandemic? If it is a dress rehearsal then we, as the church, were not prepared! Where is the wisdom of Joseph that fills the storehouses with grain for the days of famine?
Will the Church arise and take the signet ring of the Lord to take charge and become storehouses that are “filled beyond measure!”
Yes, we want to fill the vats of heaven with prayer first and foremost; we are doing that. Yes, we want to prepare by turning the hearts of sons back to fathers and daughters back to their mothers! We are longing for that! Yes, we want to return to the fear of the Lord that releases wisdom; we are humbling ourselves to receive that wisdom. But, maybe we have forgotten to steward the practical provisions that will be greatly sought after in days of “famine” (or in another global pandemic).
What if the church had storehouses of abundant supplies that were “beyond measure” for the days to come? The nations of the world would come to where the storehouses are in the days of great need.
I am first an intercessors and worshipper; but I want that intercession to release wisdom that has foresight for the days to come. I love the prayer of Solomon in 1 Kings 3,
“…And now, O Lord my God, you have made your servant king in place of David my father, although I am but a little child. I do not know how to go out or come in. And your servant is in the midst of your people whom you have chosen, a great people, too many to be numbered or counted for multitude. Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to govern this your great people?”
We need to be given an “understanding mind” to govern this great people! Both Solomon and Joseph were given “understanding minds” to know how to lead and govern; both spiritually and practically. Again, first and foremost, we need to see our nations (our hearts) turned back to God. Solomon’s prayer in 1 Kings 8:22-61 while dedicating the temple confirms that (read and pray those verses for your nation) but often we forget that we need an understanding mind to know how to prepare practically (to steward the abundance we’ve been given). Will we be the much needed storehouse when famine comes?
Let’s begin to ask the Lord to give us wisdom (an understanding mind) of how we, the Church, can become Joseph’s storehouse that is filled with grain for the days that are coming. I looked around my house this week and realized, “I am not prepared! Have I eaten my seed that was for the days of famine?” It’s a real question. This isn’t shame or condemnation but rather a sobriety of the current state of things.
Will God in His great mercy give us time to prepare? Will He give us seven years of plenty so that we will steward abundance for the sake of times of famine? Will we eat the “above and beyond” or store it for the days ahead? God, have mercy upon your people and sober us in this time to humble ourselves and ask for wisdom and an understanding mind.
If we will do this we will see the very ones who “threw us in the pit because of our dreams” come to us in times of great need and hold their hands out to receive from us (spiritually and practically). They will be like Joseph’s brothers and be restored to us; they will show honor the ones that they had previously mocked and threw into a pit.
We are to be the answer to a world in need; spiritually and practically. It’s not “either or” but “both and…”
I do not know if what we are experiencing is a dress rehearsal but if it is we have been found wanting and must let this be a wake up call to both dedicate the temple AND to fill the storehouses!
Give us understanding minds God!
Prayerfully consider sowing a financial seed of support into our ministry. To partner monthly or give a one time gift go to:
There is so much fear right now and for the first time in my lifetime— it’s global! But rather than focusing on whether the fear and reactions to those fears are warranted or not, let’s respond to the reality that much of the world has become very afraid. There are those who feel alone and there are those who have real health issues or children (loved ones) that are vulnerable to illnesses– they feel afraid! There are people out there who have experienced traumas that have left them more susceptible to gripping fear and those who have never been shown true love. It really doesn’t matter what our opinions are regarding the source of the fear– what matters is our response as those who are to carry the love of Jesus to the world.
Right now a lot of people who are in fear are watching social media but will they merely see the body of Christ making light or even “mocking” their fear. Again, it doesn’t matter what your opinion is but what does matter is that the fear that many are experiencing is real and is paralyzing. So let’s be light, be hope, be compassion— be Jesus to them!
“For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7
I’d like to draw your attention to the second half of this verse, “…but a spirit of power, love and of a sound mind.” I believe it’s time to arise during this time that so many have come under a spirit of fear and release the power of love and use the “sound mind” given to us to minister peace and hope in a world that is gripped with fear.
I saw a post today where someone was offering to go to the store or bring food or visit those who feel that they cannot leave their home (do to fear or who are elderly or fighting flu symptoms, etc.). What a great response!
What if part of the great harvest begins with His people loving a world that has been infected; not only by a virus but by a true spirit of fear? What if we respectfully offer to sit with them (even with a mask on if that is what helps them). What if we offer to run an errand or bring a meal or pray for them?
Or; even if all you can do is post words of love, peace, hope and encouragement on social media or through a personal email— let’s do that!
We can be Jesus in this and release a pandemic of love. Maybe if the churches have to close their doors then instead of being behind the doors of the church this Sunday we begin to visit the places that fear has been visiting? Why should fear get to have the last word when love can be offered like a cup of cool water on a scorching day?
We can joke about toilet paper shortages but let’s not mock those that are truly afraid. This is an opportunity to show love; what does love look like?
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails…” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
It does not dishonor. We need to walk and present a love that honors. Be sure that both in person and on social media that we are not dishonoring of those who are fearful. I read a post from a lady who lives nearby to our city saying that she wore a mask and gloves to the grocery store yesterday and people were mocking her, making comments about over-reacting and shaking their heads at her. Well, what people didn’t know is that she has a seriously ill child at home who’s immune system is highly compromised and she has to be extraordinarily careful to not bring home any virus! Wouldn’t it have been wonderful if someone had walked up to her and offered to pray for her or help carry her groceries? If just one person had stopped to offer love they would have seen seen the tears behind her mask.
We have an incredible opportunity to love right now. Let’s stop completely focusing on what the enemy is doing and ask Jesus what He would do. Of course we need to pray and take spiritual authority over sickness and fear but we also need to be the love of God to those in need at this time. Let’s band together as churches, as caring human beings, as communities, as Christians and ask Him what we can do and then go do it!
Fear may be an open door for love to come in! Go—>
This morning I kept seeing a specific assignment that has been sent against many of God’s people that was keeping them from effectiveness and fruitfulness. It was an assignment to create “idle lives.” It was coming through depression, anxiety, cynicism, illness (infirmity/injury), hopelessness, rebellion and even mental illness (or mental fog).
These were specific assignments to cause lives that were created for an effectual work that would destroy the works of darkness and establish His Kingdom of light to be diminished and become idle.
An idle machine is one that is unused. It may have everything it needs to be effective and of great use but it is not in use and therefore it is idle.
If that is you then begin to break all agreements with an idle life! Begin to prophesy over the areas that have been targeted by the enemy to render you idle. Prophecy the purposes of God over your body, your soul and your spirit. Prophecy the restart of your life and calling!
Declare diligence, perseverance energy, action, exuberance, liveliness, robustness, sprightliness, vibrancy, vigor, vitality and resurrection over your life! These are key antonyms for idleness and spirit filled words that bring life to that which has fallen asleep.
Lethargy is closely related to idleness. The spirit of lethargy is one that has been sent against God’s people time and time again. But I believe that with every assignment sent by the enemy, he looks for an “agreement” through avenues such as self-loathing, unbelief, disappointments, hope deferred, depression, etc. There is often a “wearing down of the Saints” that creates a landing strip for lethargy.
After a serious car accident in 2016 I had to fight the temptation to agree with a “new norm” of continual pain that would result in idleness (and quite frankly good reason to become idle). After a time of recovery my new norm had to be “daily overcoming” rather than being overcome by pain everyday. God is very compassionate toward the attacks that have come upon many of you but there is an overcoming that comes by rejecting an agreement with whatever “life sentence” the enemy is trying to place upon you. Agree with the fact that you overcome through the blood of the Lamb and the word of His testimony.
Some agreements could have come through a weakness that you personally have dealt with that has sought to become your identity or to disqualify you from being effective for His use and His Kingdom. But the Bible makes it clear that it is in our weakness that Christ makes His power known! Reject that which apparently has disqualified you! Agree with “Christ in you!” He is the resurrection and life! There is constant movement (while experiencing spiritual rest), continual forward motion and a fruitfulness in every season as we allow “Christ in us” to be the source!
Take the time to break every agreement with idleness. Your agreements may come from legitimate struggles but God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly more than you can ask or imagine. Agree with Christ in you— to live and move!
“For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’” Acts 17:28
It is time to live and move and have our being— this means “I exist!” Choose life, stir your movement and declare over your life, “I exist! I am a carrier of His glory!” The enemy want you to disappear from the scene and to become unseen, unused and non-existent! YOU EXIST! It’s time to be seen, to be effective and allow the world to see Christ in you— the hope of glory!
Years ago when our family still lived in California I would take long walks every morning. My route was the same each day and on that route I’d love to look at the beautiful yards that lined the streets. But there was this one house on one of the streets that had a yard that was full of weeds; overgrown and clearly never tended to. It always grabbed my attention as it stood out in such contrast to the well-kept yards all around it. One day as I passed by it I just stopped and stared at it for a very long time. I found myself lost in the potential that it had. I could tell that at one time someone had planted a flower garden within it but many years had gone by without a gardener to tend to it and now weeds choked out it’s once held beauty.
That day, as I stood there dreaming of what I’d do if it was my garden, the Lord spoke to me. He said, “Kathi, every person you walk by has great potential. Within each person is a secret garden filled with beauty was created to display different aspects of My image. Will you stop and dream with Me when you see a broken person that has not been nurtured or tended to with love? They are My secret gardens that I want unlocked.”
I knew that when He said “dream with Me” that it implied prayer, seeing beyond the natural, speaking identity, sowing into them and nurturing them. I said, “Yes.”
That “yes” began a journey of seeing with new eyes. I learned to look at people through the eyes of their Creator. Not one single person was ever created outside of His image and His beauty. Not one!
My husband and I found ourselves taking teenaged boys into our home that were broken, bruised and orphaned. These boys were so damaged that it truly took a revelation of “who God created them to be” to be able to walk day after day through their anger, their depravity and the brokenness that had become their identity.
One of our boys was easily triggered by little things in everyday life. His anger would come out with such venom that we needed a divine strategy of how to calm his pain. The Lord had shown me who he was created to be and even the plans for his life. He asked me to begin to speak that beauty over him in these moments of rage. The next time this young teen was triggered I looked at him and said, “Son, that’s not who you are! You are beautiful, kind, caring…” As I began to speak to “who he was” (rather than address what he was doing), he began weeping. He would let me hold him, calm him and restore him to peace. He expected someone to tell him who he had been taught he was (angry, unwanted, hateful, stupid, etc.) but what he received was a love that called him into his true identity. Today this young man is walking in that beautiful identity! The secret garden was unlocked and tended to with love and care.
This morning as I waited before the Lord I felt two things deep on His heart; one was how His people see themselves. The second was how His people see the broken (especially in the younger generation).
Far too often even those who know the Lord view themselves through their pasts or what the natural world has taught them. They see their weeds, their thorns, their hardened soil rather than partnering with God to unlock the hidden beauty (the secret garden) of who He created them to be. It is only when we believe that we possess beauty, value, potential and great purpose that we partner with Him to see it unlocked. As long as we can’t see beyond the weeds we will lose hope and become overwhelmed by the tangled mess. But God does for us what I did for our teen boys; He speaks true identity, beauty, purpose and potential. He invites His sons and daughters into the discovery of His image within them. When we allow our ears to hear the truth we begin to be transformed.
I often say that God has truly surprised me “with me!” Before knowing the Lord I saw absolutely no beauty and no potential beyond surviving and hiding behind masks. Every time I look at what the Lord has done in my life, I truly stand in awe because my “garden” was so locked up that I didn’t even know it existed. Finding “Him in me” has been the greatest treasure hunt! If you haven’t begun to find the treasure called, “You” then it is time to go exploring with the One who created you.
We must also begin to see beyond all the false identities, the masks that block shame, the confusion, and the shock of a world that has forgotten who they are and who’s image they are created in. We must ask the Spirit to begin to reveal His true identity that is beyond what is seen or being lived out in the world around us. Then we can pray, speak life, call them forth and unlock the garden within them.
The world is full of locked gardens but finding His image in them is the key to unlocking the true beauty. Though my initial reaction to that unkept yard was to look the other way or judge it as “unwanted”; the Lord used it to unlock a call on my life to see beauty beyond the natural sight in people.
God is longing to unblock our spiritual sight to see beyond the depravity and brokenness. He longs for us to see beyond the deceit and confusion. He wants us to speak life and to declare, “That’s not who you are! You are beautiful, valued, desired, longed for and deeply loved.”
Speak it over yourself and then speak it over a world (and generation) that has forgotten who they are. It’s time to unlock the beauty!
I want to leave you with the words I hear Him saying over you and over His created ones today from Song of Songs 4,
“How beautiful you are, my darling! Oh, how beautiful! Your eyes behind your veil are doves. Your hair is like a flock of goats descending from the hills of Gilead. Your teeth are like a flock of sheep just shorn, coming up from the washing. Each has its twin; not one of them is alone. Your lips are like a scarlet ribbon; your mouth is lovely. Your temples behind your veil are like the halves of a pomegranate. Your neck is like the tower of David, built with courses of stone; on it hang a thousand shields, all of them shields of warriors. Your breasts are like two fawns, like twin fawns of a gazelle that browse among the lilies. Until the day breaks and the shadows flee, I will go to the mountain of myrrh and to the hill of incense. You are altogether beautiful, my darling; there is no flaw in you. Come with me from Lebanon, my bride, come with me from Lebanon. Descend from the crest of Amana, from the top of Senir, the summit of Hermon, from the lions’ dens and the mountain haunts of leopards. You have stolen my heart, my sister, my bride; you have stolen my heart with one glance of your eyes, with one jewel of your necklace. How delightful is your love, my sister, my bride! How much more pleasing is your love than wine, and the fragrance of your perfume more than any spice! Your lips drop sweetness as the honeycomb, my bride; milk and honey are under your tongue. The fragrance of your garments is like the fragrance of Lebanon. You are a garden locked up, my sister, my bride; you are a spring enclosed, a sealed fountain. Your plants are an orchard of pomegranates with choice fruits, with henna and nard, nard and saffron, calamus and cinnamon, with every kind of incense tree, with myrrh and aloes and all the finest spices. You are a garden fountain, a well of flowing water streaming down from Lebanon. Awake, north wind, and come, south wind! Blow on my garden, that its fragrance may spread everywhere. Let my beloved come into his garden and taste its choice fruits.” Song of Songs 4:1-16
The Bible is the greatest love story ever written. Within its pages are words of life, words of grace, words of redemption and words that love— a love that goes even unto death.
Above all else, every person longs to be loved; to be loved unconditionally, to be adored completely and to never be abandoned by that love.
Yet, there is only One who has ever loved in the way we long to be loved and were created to be loved— that One is Yahweh! Yahweh means “He Who Makes That Which Has Been Made.” He created each one of us in His image– to be loved with agape love. Agape love is the unconditional love that we were created to enjoy and to give. This agape love is what every created being longs for– and it is available to every person through the love of Christ.
When sin entered the world it also entered our experience with being loved. The unselfish and unconditional love that we were intended to give and receive was now tainted with selfishness, conditions and limitations. This left mankind in a constant state of “want” or “lack” causing people to try to fill their core longing with lesser things such as power, greed, wealth and fame. Human love became tainted with selfish motives— eros love replaced agape love. And yet…God still remained faithful in His agape love! His perfect and undefiled love sent His Son to be the sacrifice for our sin.
Though the definition of love is increasingly being redefined by depravity and confusion; God’s love remains true, pure and undefiled. It remains available to all who choose to believe and receive the gift of perfect love: His Son—Jesus.
As we celebrate a day that is focused on love, let us not be disillusioned by the eros love (a love that has self attached to it) that we have experienced but let us allow the agape love to wash over us and heal our hearts so that we may, in turn, love with His love.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” John 3:16-18
Agape love remains available to all. Jesus died for all and His love has not grown cold for even the most deprived heart. He cannot be anything less then perfect in His love for all; for He cannot deny Himself.
If your heart had not been touched by agape love or healed by God’s perfect love then ask Him now to enter your heart and life. It will transform you, redeem you and free you from living in hope deferred.
Today is the day that your Valentines experience can become one that fulfills rather that leaves you wanting. His love will fill you to overflowing so that you will lack no good thing.
He is offering you what you truly long for; agape love. All you have to do is believe and receive.
Happy Valentines Day!

Today, as I was praying, I was taken into a vision where I saw a man standing in “today” (the now) but his soul
was in yesterday and tomorrow; he was absent from where he was actually standing— in the NOW. His focus on yesterday was keeping him stuck in regrets and disappointments and his obsession with tomorrow was drawing him into heavy burdens, dread, and fear. As I looked at him I could see the Lord calling to him to come and enjoy the day He had planned for him; a day filled with grace, joy, love and peace. It was a table set before him with such detail and love. But, he had become so accustomed to not living in the “now” or even in the day that the Lord had given him that he had lost his peace and his joy. He had not enjoyed the delicacies that were set before him for a very long time.
Then I saw the Lord go into his yesterday and wash away the pain, the regrets and the disappointments that had clung to him like a cold, wet garment.
Then I saw the Lord go into His tomorrow and He sent forth angels to prepare the way to bless and prosper him in all his ways. He then washed the dread, worry and fear from him with a peace that surpassed this man’s understanding.
Tomorrow’s table had no provision upon it because the Lord had not set it for him yet.
Then He wrapped him in a clean, white garment and drew him back into today. As this man left his past and entrusted his tomorrow to the Lord’s perfect care he was able to enter into the amazing grace that the Lord had set for him that day. This man began to laugh with joy. Relief from the sorrows of yesterday and the burdens of tomorrow flooded his soul while peace, rest, and a lightness filled him like a long, deep breath.
The Lord is resetting those who have been dealing with great anxiety, depression, and fear. Allow Him to minister to the pains of yesterday and the fears of tomorrow while drawing you into the beauty of today.
This is a work of His Spirit that He is doing even now. Stop and take the time to be with Him; allowing Him to do this deep work within you. There is such peace and rest in abiding trust. There is amazing grace that sets you free from having to figure it all out in your own strength. There is joy in the surrender as you put your faith in His perfect care.
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34
STAY IN THE NOW!
Ask the Lord to remove your soul from the regrets of yesterday and the burdens of tomorrow. He has gone before you to prepare a future and hope for you so you do not need to worry.
He has prepared a table for you today and it has everything you need for the day. Does a mother set out food for her family that is to be eaten tomorrow? No, it will spoil if it’s set out before meal time. She only puts out what is for now. God does the same for you. You were never supposed to live on yesterday’s spoiled food or sit at tomorrow’s table that has not yet been set for you yet. There is so much to enjoy today—enter into your now!
